  • freeman says:

running fine for me both in windows and kubuntu.-
in ubuntu I just needed to install openal and symlink it
    symlink libopenal.so.0

    apt-get install libopenal1
    ln -s /usr/lib/libopenal.so.1 /usr/lib/libopenal.so.0

game is running, but f.e. explosions of characterts are not working -maybe its not implemented yet
The game runs quiet fast, lighting and effects are pretty nice-
Looking forward to beta version ;-)

  • GegoXAREN says:

I am having trouble when trying to run the pre compiled game engine…
    it is saying:
    $ ./xreal.x86
./xreal.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

but i have it installed and symlinked…. i think it is a problem with x86_46, this needs to be addressed, I could DL the latest svn an compile it… but i do not feel like it….

  • STeven S. says:

  • Aronzak says:

Come on guys, if you want this to get off the ground, offer a binary that’s not 1 year out of date. Even better, get a package into the Linux repos. That is one of the big reasons for Wesnoth’s success

  • Redsky says:

Download is broken i have tried more then 5 times from different PCs and on none of it worked.
“The file you are attempting to download is not currently available on our servers or is being processed. Please try your download in a few minutes.”
I waited for much more then few minutes – looks like its totally out of order.

  • JiminyJew says:

Yeah…stop insulting the devs. This is hard work, and I applaud them for what they’ve already been able to accomplish.

@Aronzak: Binaries will come in time. Chill out, or better yet learn C++ and make the binaries yourself.

@Redsky: The download porbably is broken. Why don’t you download from the subversion like it says IN GIGANTIC RED LETTERS above the download link?

Keep up the good work guys. I can’t wait to see what you make of this. Any plans on getting this to work with the Openarena maps/etc?

    Thanks!

  • creation says:

GegoXAREN: install openal and openal-devel if you haven`t already done that .

To the dev team my congrat`s. I offer my self as a volunteer to test maps or mods in the future.

  • Matsilagi1997 says:

    Stay with the good work
PS:can someone send me the railgun model files base?

  • Qmm says:

Make Game like Wolfenstein ET full copy would be nice and fu*cing popular

  • psilas says:

Can anyone please explain why this mod, being compiled from the Q3 engine, says it can load mods from Unreal Tournament 3, but not Quake 3 mods?

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t UT3 running on Direct x like all Unreal games.

If not, I still see no reason why we can’t import Quake 3 mods like True Combat or even stand alone mods like Smokin Guns or Padman over to this engine.

    Anyone?

    Cheers.
